A chila is a North-Indian crepe made out of chickpea flour. You can have your chila with chutney or roll it around a stuffing like Tofu Crumble. Very simple to prepare, you can serve it for breakfast or for snacks.
Besan Chila/Chickpea Crepes
1 cup chickpea flour/besan
3/4 cup water
3/4 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
1 cube grated cheese
- Mix the chickpea flour with chilli powder and salt.
- Slowly add the water, smoothen the lumps, till you get a pouring consistency.
- Grate cheese over the tofu crumble and mix well. Keep aside.
- Fold over both sides to the centre or fold one side like a Taco.
- Serve hot.
